Course Details

The Pinehurst Resort is one of the most famous golf destinations in the world, with 2,000 acres of golf featuring the work of golf course designers Donald Ross, Tom Fazio and Ellis Maples across ten courses. The most famous of the Pinehurst courses is Ross's #2, which was selected to host the men's U.S. Open in 1999, 2005, 2014 and 2024.

In 2014 the USGA tried something new - both the men's and women's U.S. Open championships were held on the #2 course, in consecutive weeks. It was the first time the course had been the site for the women's event. Pinehurst isn't the cheapest place to play golf, but it's definitely high on any real golfer's list of "places I have to play at least once".
